EVENT: MY OGOJA MY HERITAGE ALL WHITE PICNIC PARTY IN TOP GEAR

Preparations for the annual picnic of the My Ogoja, My Heritage (MOMH) group, Calabar Branch is in top gear as all members of the MOMH group are all excited to meet with their Ogoja brothers and sisters residing in Calabar.

This event is a get together event geared towards uniting and promoting the people and lifestyle of Ogoja. This is also an avenue to revive the unity our parents had in their own days.

Speaking with the Calabar Chapter Chairman of MOMH, Mr. James, he expounded on the need of this picnic as he stated that it would revive that part of hospitality among the Ogoja people as an heritage. In the light of the event, there will be refreshment, entertainment, fun filled games, performances from some top Ogoja Celebrities like Rula Vibes (Music), Dr. Smile (Comedy) and a State House of Assembly candidate who is also a comedian, Agamex04 (Street Pastor).

Cross River North Women protest against Ayade-sponsored arrests in Ogoja

Women from Cross River Northern Senatorial District have stormed the streets of Ogoja in protest against the politically-motivated arrests of their children sponsored by governor Ben Ayade. Speaking to newsmen, the leader of the group, Madam Grace Abang, said women from Cross River north are protesting on the insistence that governor Ayade desists from further arrests of their sons and release unconditionally those already in detention by the quasi-undemocratic conspiracy of the APC-led government in the State. “We have done everything for Ayade and he has failed us; only for him to come and arrest our children. Ayade must either release our sons or arrest all of us,” the women leader cried. The objecting ladies maintained that the request for the release of their children and restraint on further unlawful arrests, adding that their position was from an apolitical standpoint.
